Traffic Safety Partners:
Public safety is the top priority for all of us. With public health and safety uppermost in mind, we have decided to cancel the 2020 Governor’s Conference on Highway Safety initially scheduled for August in Wisconsin Dells.
Working closely with Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) leadership, we explored various alternatives. However, protecting the health, safety and well-being of our presenters, sponsors and attendees is paramount. Given the public health situation, ongoing planning and logistical needs, we concluded that a conference will not be possible in 2020. We are working to ensure refunds for all those who previously registered.
Although this year’s conference has been canceled, our collective efforts to enhance highway safety can and must continue. On behalf of WisDOT and the Bureau of Transportation Safety and Technical Services, we appreciate your understanding and value your partnership.
Thanks for all you do. We look forward to seeing you next year.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation welcomes our many partners in traffic safety from across the state and nation to Wisconsin Dells for the 46th Annual Governor’s Conference on Highway Safety.
The Governor’s Conference will provide attendees with exceptional opportunities to learn more about current evidence-based best practices in education, enforcement, and partnerships. We very much appreciate your attendance and input at this year’s conference and look forward to collaboration with all of you as we continue to push to prevent traffic fatalities and serious injuries on Wisconsin roads.
