Emerging leaders program

To continue to grow and keep Wisconsin’s tourism industry strong, we want to encourage you to register a budding leader from your organization.  The Emerging Leaders Program is designed to provide those in the early or developing stage of their career, the opportunity to experience the education and networking available at WIGCOT. 

Review the following parameters before submitting an individual for the Emerging Leaders Program:

• Only one individual from an organization will be accepted
  
• This individual should not have attended a past WIGCOT
  
• The Emerging Leader registration will only be honored if accompanied by another staff member who has registered at the early-bird or full conference rate
  
• This program is intended for budding leaders, for example:
  
• Recent college graduates
• Individuals new to the tourism or hospitality industry
• Entry-level staff who show strong leadership skills
• Individuals who have recently advanced from an entry-level position into higher leadership roles

The program will only accept* up to 40 participants and the fee for an Emerging Leader is free** for the full conference. These leaders will be recognized during the conference and will be paired with senior leaders from our industry for the duration of the conference.

To register an emerging leader complete a registration on the attendee registration site. (Registration is currently closed.) Be prepared to briefly describe how the emerging leader you are registering has made an impact in their position, organization and within the tourism industry. 

**Accommodations, travel and other associated fees will be at the expenses of the attending individual. Additionally, if an emerging leader is unable to attend the conference, they must contact Dawn Zanoni (dzanoni@travelwisconsin.com; 608-266-3978) at least 72 hours prior to the conference. No-shows or cancellations made within 72 hours of the event will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
