Awards

New to the 2022 conference are three awards that will recognize those who have made important contributions to emergency management.  The awards are open to volunteers and public/private partners working in the field of emergency management.

Nominations for the Service, Innovation, and Lifetime Achievement Awards are now open with a final submission date of no later than 11:59PM on Friday, February 11, 2022.  Submissions should be emailed to Janell Rucinski.  

Innovation Award

Presented to a person who directs their time and energy for the greatest impact by incorporating new ideas, technology, and other strategies to maximize a positive impact in the state or communities they serve. Recipients are creative, think outside the box, innovate, change agent, fearless, cutting edge, idea person, and progressive.

Service Award

Presented to a volunteer or public/private partner that has made an outstanding contribution to the preparedness, response, recovery, or mitigation activities in the State of Wisconsin.

Lifetime Achievement Award

Presented to an individual that has made outstanding or substantial contributions and accomplishments in the field of emergency management at the local, state, or national level over an entire career. Eligibility requires that an individual has worked in the field of emergency management for at least ten years. Individuals remain eligible for up to two years after their date of retirement.
